Ambassador Spotlight: Nicole and Mico
WORLD TRAVELLERS
"They used their emergency power source, the Omni 20+, to keep their work going."
Meet Nicole and Mico, YouTubers and digital nomads who have been dating since high school and decided to leave their home comforts in Canada for full-time travel around the globe. They're also ambassadors for the Omni 20+, an advanced power solution that’s perfect for mobile professionals on the go.
How They Got Here
World travelers Nicole and Mico left their home after saving up for four years for life on the road. They dreamed of a life in which full-time travel would be possible, but it wasn't until 2021 when their dreams became a reality.
The young married couple took the plunge and immediately began seeing the world from a new perspective. They understood for the first time what was truly possible, and it expanded their ambitions for the future.
Nicole and Mico saw real people traveling around the world instead of only the wealthy individuals they assumed they would meet. Other cultural explorers shared tips on how they curated their lifestyle, and Nicole and Mico incorporated as much as they could into their own lives.
Highlights of Their Travels
Of all the countries that Nicole and Mico have been to, none have matched up with Sri Lanka, Jordan, and Argentina. The two highly recommend the Patagonia region in Argentina for its stunning landscapes, waterfalls, camping opportunities, and exotic animals.
It was in the Philippines where Nicole had the weirdest food she's tried so far: balut. It's a fertilized duck egg that she probably wouldn't have tried if not for Mico being from the country.
The food hasn't all been bad, though. Both of them agree that knafeh (a Palestinian dessert) is the best item they've had so far. But when considering an entire meal, they say mansaf tops the list — a Jordanian national dish that includes a mix of fresh ingredients. Their future travel plans include Japan and more adventures in the Philippines. If the couple were writing a job posting to convince others to follow in their footsteps, it would sound like this: "Seeking applicants who are flexible, are open to new opportunities, like problem-solving, and are hungry! Both for adventure and for food."
With Nicole being great with numbers and dates and Mico's creativity, the two are making a name for themselves all around the world.
Staying Powered Up with Omnicharge
Being out on the road means travelers don't have the comforts they're used to. Nicole and Mico, for example, didn't realize how difficult it would be to access power outlets.
Regardless if it was in their Airbnb, at a cafe, in a co-working space, or in a hotel room, the couple often needed more reliable access to power.
Nicole and Mico now carry at least three portable chargers with them at all times.
With the high-capacity Omni 20+, they’re able to connect their laptops for a full charge, which they couldn't do with other power solutions that don't have a portable laptop charger. It's essentially an external laptop battery.
The wireless charging feature has also been a welcome surprise. Nicole and Mico didn't initially think they'd be using this feature that much, but it's become so convenient that they use it more than any of the other features on the Omni 20+.
There was a time in the Philippines when a scheduled brownout was occurring, so the two booked a spot at a local co-working space outside the brownout zone to get some work done. It didn't matter, though: The co-working spot also experienced a blackout, and they were left in the dark. That's when they used their emergency power source, the Omni 20+, to keep their work going.
Although Nicole and Mico always feel like they could use even more power, the travel-friendly Omni 20+ has been a lifesaver, easing all of their worries while they work on the road. They no longer have to waste time searching for outlets, and they aren't tethered down to anything anymore.
